Arsenal go into the game with Watford on the back of a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Southampton in the FA Cup.

The game saw Danny Welbeck return to a reshuffled line up after a long layoff with injury.

Theo Walcott was equally impressive netting a hat-trick against his former club and has given Wenger a selection headache ahead of the game.

The game saw Arsenal’s attacking options shine against a weakened Saints team with Welbeck scoring two goals in his first 60 minutes on his return to the first team.

Despite the England internationals heroics, Wenger has confirmed Welbeck will not be involved in the squad for the Watford game, “we have to be cautious with him.”

However, first team regulars Laurent Koscielny, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil are all expected to start.

Aside from Welbeck, Arsenal’s only absentees are Granit Xhaka (suspension) and Santi Cazorla (achilles).

Walter Mazarri will be looking to bounce back from an embarrassing defeat in the FA Cup weekend as Milwall caused a big upset against the Italian’s side in a 1-0 defeat.

Watford’s other new arrival, Mauro Zarate, will, along with Jose Holebas, miss the game through suspension. Odion Ighalo will be missing from the squad as he tries to force through a move to China.
